Effective October 19, 2026. This page describes how we handle everything we hold, including orders placed before that date. When this page changes, the date above changes, and if the change matters to an order we hold, we tell the email address on that order. A change that would use or share what you gave us in a new way does not apply to you unless you agree to it.
When you order a review we store the plan you chose, the email address you gave us, an order number, the price you paid, the time, the version of the terms you accepted and the time you accepted them, and the fee disclosure you attached. The disclosure is a plan document, not a personal one. It is kept encrypted under your order number and read by the reviewer. We keep your fee disclosure and your finished review for seven years, or less if you ask, so we can send the review to you again and answer questions about it. We also keep the plan facts from your fee disclosure, with nothing that identifies you, in a set of plan data we use to compare plans, improve our reviews, and publish comparisons, ratings, and statistics. Those publications may name a plan and its employer, because the plan facts are the plan's, but they never identify you or your order. A deletion request removes your disclosure and your review, not those plan facts, because they no longer say anything about you. If you attach a file and do not complete the order, it is deleted within seven days. If you send us an account statement, it is used for your review and deleted when the review is delivered. Payment is handled by Stripe on Stripe's pages, and your card number never reaches us. Stripe sends you its receipt and keeps its own record of the payment under its privacy policy. Our pages set no cookies and load nothing from advertising or analytics companies. Our web server keeps ordinary access logs (the address a request came from, the page, the time) for security and to count pages served, and we do not link those logs to orders or to people. We count page views, lookups and uploads in aggregate, with no identifiers, to learn which employers people search for. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone, and we do not contact you except to deliver your review or answer a question you asked. The review reaches you through our email provider and the files are kept with our cloud hosting provider, each under terms that limit use to our service. Our pages do not track visitors across sites, so a Do Not Track signal changes nothing. If you ask us to delete what we hold about you, we delete your fee disclosure and your finished review. We keep the order record, because it is our record of the sale and of the terms you accepted, and Stripe keeps its record of the payment.
